Udpate on MSFT Search Skunk Works

Per the story below, I have very good off the record source who says that while Sanaz is a true star, the project is not what has been reported. Trying to get more on what it *is*….stay tuned….

  1. What a hoot! MS has a skunk works!

Who knew? Well, the answer is about half of humanity. That includes all the people who put up with STINKO word processing (1500 commands and literally dozens and dozens of toolbars) and rotten, virus ridden operating systems (W 3.1, 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP, Vista…) and sloppy handheld device software – WM1 to WM6 and and and….

In fact, you should say that pretty much everything at MS is a big pile of rotting stinking junk that smells as bad as a skunk.

(Did I mention ZILCH (oops, I meant ZUNE the social skunk).

This mound of dead aspirations has been functioning for years by quick copying the work of others and then adding a few features (more virus susceptibility unwanted and un needed complications) and selling it as INNOVATION!!!

Now it is taking its crack team of skunks and getting ready to foist another dungpile on the public and hoping that the public olfactory nerves are bad.

I do not think so. Fool me once….

  2. May be they do have a skunk works department, but while Lockheed Martin called their department Skunk Works to disguise its true nature did Microsoft call their department what it actually is :).

  3. Christ what a bunch of dickheads that commented this story before me.

How about you get a life and, while you’re at it, some perspective on things?

  4. My apologies to “yan” – you’re not a dickhead. Jeremy W’s comments obscured yours, the only sane one so far (besides mine ofc ;).
