If you had any doubt that Google plans to be a major force in the market that Microsoft dominates, this should erase them. Why do I say this? Well, because Google’s new version of its Desktop software includes Tic Tac Toe, of course. And everyone know that clever operation system companies *always* include a game in their offerings…
Meanwhile, TechCrunch gets into the privacy and other implications.
Is anyone tracking Google’s installed base for this application? Since they don’t promote it much on their homepage, it’s hard to tell whether many people are using it. “If a tree falls in the forest and no one hears …”
And *really* clever companies include a game that the user always wins. Google’s Tic Tac Toe, for instance, is chivalrous enough to lose every time.
It’s “operating systems”, not “operation systems”!
And a real OS always has wumpus. 🙂
