The move to online advertising is happening faster than analysts anticipated as companies devote more of their budgets to the Internet than traditional media.
The market for online ads will increase 32 percent to $16.6 billion next year, fueling growth at companies including Google Inc. and Yahoo! Inc., Credit Suisse First Boston analyst Heath Terry said in a research report. He had previously forecast 21 percent growth.

John, it’s up to YOU to keep publishers from getting left in the dust/screwed by all this. It’s interesting to me that the proceeds of online advertising are flowing almost entirely to the big players rather than the content producers. The internet was supposed to break down the big capital barrier to entry – what went wrong here?
I just want to get an idea of % of companies which might go for online advertising this year or in coming years. The stats you gave here was about market. It’s more of market cap.
in the future (i think 2006 end and 2007) are the ads volume are doubled. to many firms investigate in the ads promotion. it is a popular method for quality traffic and if your product is okay, why not?
