I once attended a performance of his, in which he gave a reading of Chaucer’s Canterbury tales… in the style of a 1950s beat poet. Yes, he was truly a talent, and funny, too.

Thanks for mentioning the ‘Ice Nine’ moment–it’s one of my favorites.
Yesterday, I was bummed that he got (WAY) less coverage than Imus (if any). It would’ve made him laugh, I think, or be thankful for being five-dimensional enough to be taken for granted upon death.
Kinda made me think about Vonnegut’s days selling Saabs in Cape Cod…
