The various tracking & analytics services use different methodologies in accumulating and compiling data.

So to fully understand the biases pros and cons of the various techniques, one has to review their procedures.
Additionally some data is Global, some is only USA focussed.
I'd be willing to bet that the reason why Google bought youtube is that they realized that "one size fits all search" has no future. Who knows who came up with the hare-brained idea to do universal search -- that was (IMHO) 2 steps back (I think I even recall being amused when Larry Page asked "well what if somebody just wants news results?" [or something like that] ;)
