We spoke of DoubleClick, and as we spoke, Jeff’s boss, CEO Terry Semel, was predicting advertiser defections in a Reuters’ piece.

  1. that was actually a pretty interesting moment… dan farber and i were sitting in the green room, sort of half-listening to the same-old-same-old while editing photos & writing up a blog post.

    then, we both heard those comments from weiner, and we stopped… looked up, looked at each other, and raised an eyebrow. i said to dan, “holy crap… he’s SELLING, isn’t he?!?”. dan looked back at me and went “yes… yes he is.”.
