The one flaw in this interview was the lack of specifics about why exactly Wired, failing in late 2000, and did not reinvent itself.
The general statement that IDG did allow the restructuring in a way that would have allowed it to continue, is not precise enough and frustrating to the reader.

Overall, it was a good and rare audio interview. Good information about Federated Media’s many verticals.
It would be great – however- if Federated Media and Battellemedia would make its various blog traffic stats public.
