Reader Niall writes: Facebook seems a lot less hot than when Mark was on stage a year ago. Many key employees, including co-founders, have left the company. What is Facebook doing to remain an employer of choice in Silicon Valley? »
Yup, it makes the perfect gift for that officemate or colleague who you thought had everything....including you! If you order here, I promise to sign it, assuming we can figure out the shipping...

Are you saying that there is a need for an information seeking, exploration, retrieval, and aggregation interface that goes beyond a glaringly empty white page, colorful playschool letters and a single, one-line text box?
Please, do elaborate.
I do.
Couldn't agree more. This really blew me away and yet it seems so obvious.
Thanks for pointing this out. I love the concept.
By the way, why didn't you twitter this? Seems like the perfect use for a tweet?
Feel free to reply @ericholter.
Another *GREAT* example of the "Wisdom of the Language" at work! :D
I wonder how many users have changed the default Location bar search provider in their mozilla firefox browser configuration (see support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Location+bar+search for details)
Just like the "sevices" aka "websites" in the video, you could more easily navigate directly to the desired keyword / service by typing in 1 word into the empty location bar today (if you have browse.name name configured as your Location bar search provider).
Simply set the prefix to:
http://www.browse.name/direct.php?query=
and delete the suffix.
Piece of cake! It's all there -- today. It was probably there yesterday. I don't know how long it's been there -- 1 year? 2 years? ...?
How many people have used it?
I've been using it for the last few days and it's amazing!
The main use I'm giving is as an enhanced Google suggest/preview.
