Yahoo keeps up the pace of buying young Web 2 companies with its acquisition of Bix, which is run by a pal, Mike Spieser. Mike will take charge of community media at Yahoo (including photos and 360). Bix is a sort of “America’s Got Talent” writ across the web. You don’t think this stuff plays? Poke around a bit. It’s amazing how badly America wants to be Discovered. It’s quite something.
