Most of you know by now that I do a short summary of the day’s news over on the FM Blog. This year I’m going to try to do a Friday summary of the week’s Signals here on Searchblog. Here’s the first of the year:

Monday Signal: The CES-less Hangover

Tuesday Signal: Murdoch and Jobs and Verizon, Oh My!

Weds. Signal: Do We Have a Quora Yet?

Thursday Signal: Internet By the Numbers

Friday Signal: Enjoy You Some Weird.

If you want Signal each day, sign up for the email newsletter on the site (top right), or grab the RSS Feed.

Have a great weekend!

  1. To be honest, I am not a big fan of this idea, as it adds to the noise that is already piling up in my RSS-reader (and probably not only mine). I know, that some plugging is needed, but please don’t make it a “weekly feature”.

To be even more honest, I don’t really get the difference between the “Blog” (located here http://www.federatedmedia.net/blog/) where all the FM Signals are listed and the Signals Blog (a link on the Blog indicates that it is located here http://www.federatedmedia.net/signal/), which redirects to http://www.federatedmedia.net/fm-blog/ although the link said, that I would “See All Signal Posts”. But in reality is a “superfeed” of all the FM sites. A broken one right now, because the “Best Photos of 2010 | SURFER Magazine T”-link is not working.

To make things even more complicated, the RSS-feed of the superfeed seems to be the one for the first mentioned Blog.

I suggest a clean up and can not help but notice the irony, that probably nobody checked those sites/links, because they were all more or less working in their respective feed-readers…
