In that same category was a recent article in the NYTimes which quoted Hal Varian Google’s chief economist who described his company as not being “recession proof”, but said it was “recession resistant”.
What I liked best was his concluding comments about the impact of weather on Google’s business. To paraphrase: Bad weather is good for Google as long as it isn’t too bad.” To which I will extrapolate that what is good for GOOG is good for The Whole Damn Net.
