  1. Two quick notes, as I just blogged on SEW Blog:

    1) He likes NVU to edit pages.
    I do too! An impressive FREE web page editor.

    2) Second, I post a link to what is the first or one of the first widely distrubted public newsgroup postings about Sir Tim’s WWW project.
    http://groups.google.com/group/comp.archives/msg/37bb6783d03a3b0d?output=gplain

    He writes,
    “The WWW project merges the techniques of information retrieval and hypertext to make an easy but powerful global information system.

    The project started with the philosophy that much academic information should be freely available to anyone. It aims to allow information sharing within internationally dispersed teams, and the dissemination of information by support groups.”

  2. Tim just made his 2nd Post – he credits Internet Fathers, Vint Cerf and Bob Kahn, and the Father of Hyperlinks, Ted Nelson

    quote:
    By the way, this blog is at DIG, the Decentralised Information group at MIT’s CSAIL. I intend it to be geeky semantic web stuff mostly. For example, it won’t be for W3C questions which should really be addressed to working groups.

    So thanks for all the support, no need for more general ‘thank you’ comments! Thank *you* all.

    BTW;

    check out the Google & MSN Search Engine Rankings for:
    TIM BERNERS LEE

    The blog is only one week old – Google and MSN ALGO technology, has really taken a dramatic rise!

  3. Really surprised to read how he envisaged a blog/wiki like scenario back in those old days ….for information sharing and publishing in real time with WYSIWYG tools.
