I’m thrilled that the SJ Merc published excerpts from my book, as well as a very nice piece about me. It’s in three parts, all require registration, here (story), here (excerpts) and here (five things you may not want to know about me). While I am terrified of what the NYT and WSJ might say about the book, it means the world to me that the Valley’s paper was kind.
So the book stuff is really heating up. It comes out this week on Amazon, early next week in bookstores. Do you guys want me to post on it here? I mean, you put up with all the sh*t to this point, but it seems a bit…indulgent to post every review, tic, correction, debate…what do you think?
Maybe its just me, but I bought a preorder copy, but don’t have time to finish the book in a weekend, so I would prefer not to see reviews. Its just that the reviews will color my opinion of the book.
The ideal would be to make them available, but not on the front page so someone who checks this page every day won’t have to work hard to avoid spoilers/tainting.
i would enjoy reading your take on their take of your take. bring it on.
Are you going to be doing any book signings?
I’d post once a week/fortnight with the reviews that have been written over the period. And make the title explicit so that your readers who don’t want to go through these reviews can avoid them.

I would like your view on the launch of the book. Comments on sales figures, reviews and all other things related to the book. You’ve definitely earned that right after two years of running this blog.
I had dinner in downtown Mountain View and saw that Battelle will be speaking next Tuesday (9/13) at Books Inc at 7:30 PM. I was surprised to see the book was already on the shelves and bought a copy right away!
I’m very excited about the book as well. I received my e-mail from Amazon earlier today that the book is on its way and will be here tomorrow. I’m actually going to launch a new Google blog later in the month (www.googleology.info) and I’ll start it out by talking about the book. Really looking forward to it!
