Like once petrol companies, than smoking brands, now Internet technology and software companies are shinny stars of the world. I wonder what's next? Space tourism companies, maybe?

Indeed. Troy your Say party was one of my highlights, for sure, what a great band. Thanks.

Nice recap john.

Last year was my first Cannes. I found sponsorship dominance by digital media companies like Yahoo and Microsoft shocking as well. TV still dominates spend. But they have other platforms from upfronts to Emmy's.

Digital found a spot at Cannes. Advertising was sick of talking about offline. And big digital companies were now happy to pay for obscenely priced cocktails at the Carlton and yachts on the med.

Blame Joanne Bradford.

I returned to sf from Cannes last night. My wife kindly offered my a glass of rose. I nearly puked.

It's good to be home.
