Please explain more!

So far Apple doing whatever they want has managed to scale their app store up to being the largest mobile app store in the world.

No matter what new rules they introduce there seem to be plenty of people who are willing to accept them in order to be allowed a chance to appear in the app store.

Interesting to see Apple impose a native-app penalty here since the pinch-open gesture is explicitly supported in the Safari DOM (http://bit.ly/agREOT).

@app developer: How is this person stealing IP? They're developing for the IP holder's platform. This is like saying companies that develop for the Wii are infringing if they use the Wii's motion controls.

Only in Bizarro World would a company try to expand their platform while limiting access to their features. Not a good long-term strategy.

Poor old Scott seems to misunderstand his part of the Apple ecosystem.
IMO we who provide apps are akin to symbiotic parasites.
When Scott says 'he is hopeful that Apple can improve its approval process in the future to communicate better with developers such as himself...'.
He's overlooking the fact he tried to pinch (!) the hosts IP and now he's upset with them for not letting him!
If I were Apple I'd take it that Scott wanted to be part of another ecosystem and I wouldn't have a problem with him finding one.
