		<description>&lt;p&gt;Facebook&#039;s move to open up graph data probably does a good job of preempting Google&#039;s entry, but I wonder if that&#039;s a worthwhile goal.  Google, in my opinion, doesn&#039;t have a realistic shot at overtaking Facebook&#039;s social graph lead anyway.  In the meantime, I think Facebook is continuing to show the same tin ear for customer experience and privacy that exemplified Beacon.  Except now it&#039;s a trend.  So, basically they&#039;re hurting their value proposition to score a strategic victory that may only be meaningful on paper.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
