John, this mini-series has been truly helpful. Not in a personal sense, but in a well, meta sense. If information is the new currency, these thoughts and ideas are helping to erect the minting factory.

I never knew of Aardvark before reading your posts. This system of information exchange is revolutionary. Not only is it quicker than systems such as Yahoo!Answers, or specialized forums, but it is also more intimate. Having an exchange via IM or email is allowing someone into your personal space. And it is in this space where we become our intelligent, inspired, true selfs. How's that for meta?

A system such as Aardvark is only going to accelerate this information exchange. Information compounds information, and the system we envision here, is not too far off. Thanks for the conversation.

The real sci-fi analogy here is also from Star Trek. THE BORG!

The app that most reminds me of the Borg model is twitter... a giant chat room filled with voices.

Thanks for the great post John. I've been following your work since you wrote 'The Search' and have to admit that you've influenced a lot on my vision of what is the Internet and where it's heading...

I listened Eric Schmidt speech about the future of the Internet in Pittsburg and I think these 3 posts of yours are another piece for this puzzle - the Internet and how it helps our life.

Of course, I meant Larry - not Sergei (although I am quite certain that the answer would have been similar from Sergei)

John,

From someone who would have answered like Sergei in the past let me just say - thanks for adding another dimension to my thought.

Very interesting proposition indeed.
