I have lived in Beijing for 4 years and right now is the worst time for media freedom. First Tibet, then Bjork…they are clamping down hard. Right now can’t even access a conservative site like Canada CBC.ca. Then there’s the issue with double the undercover cops on the streets and in the bars. They are cleaning up everything through force…not pretty to watch

Yes, a group of us who are heading over there for the Olympics were discussing that very subject. My guess is that they will maintain their current censorship.

I would not be surprised if there are "outages" and they will probably blame it on those "weather missiles" they plan on launching to dissipate the rain!
