  1. The one biggest criticisms of Microsoft, over the years, has been the integration of its OS arm with its applications arm. Controlling both the application as well as the platform on which the application resides is something that many people have found troublesome.

    It makes me wonder whether there is a similar problem here with Google now starting to own not only the web applications, but the physical transport layer on which those web applications reside.

    There may not be a problem. I don’t know. I only have to start to wonder.

  2. That’s a good move from Google as its userbase is increasing day by day in Asia. Affluent middle class in countries like China and India has become Internet savvy and Google will need increased bandwidth to satisfy these users.
