Lets take it to the next level : Local mobile search without entering any thing but the road sign on the highway. Its there to see and enter for a local search ( for business info nearby)Our entries replace zipcode, city ,state, menues, maps, GPS- all in a format (4 to 9 character entry) That keys in on the crossroad location.

After reading it I figured I'd try it out to find an asbestos testing service for my kitchem remodel project.

I even did my own little comparison of the new Yahoo Local search, A9, and Google Local.

Good post...good to see them embracing user-generated content and RSS feeds...

Yahoo! needs to implement the third pillar of web 2.0 though (opening up the service via APIs) to make this a really big change.

Citysearch has had user-generated reviews for local restaurants for years, but it's been in a closed system to date.
