I am kind of dissappointed in AOL not using the audio search. I found it very useful in my search for sounds and music off the internet. Is there any other search engine that is like singingfish?

I am very dissapointed that singifish.com was bought by AOL. I do not think that AOL will have the same benefits that Singingfish had. Whenever i type in singingfish.com, i get redirected to AOL Video and videos are not what i am looking for.

SingingFish release off their site today:
http://www.singingfish.com/press/2003-11-19_aol_buys_singingfish.html

I can see potential in porn searches and paid listings (since they can control the associated metadata), but despite the proliferation of A/V content and broadband, the Net still runs on text -- and for good reason.

So, the only way this really works well is if creators adopt good metadata practices. And metadata is text. And google likes text.
