The below words make sense to Ebay people too.. Your vision is very good ... Thats why they brough out skype..
Quoting your sentenses below
" Now eBay buying Skype? You kidding me? Of course that makes sense. Who is the largest paid search advertiser in the world? eBay. (Or at least in the top three). Why? They are a *mature business* which has reached the stage of *paying well for acquiring customers.* Skype has tens of millions of potential customers, AND a way for folks who are buying and selling to talk to each other for free. But the first point is more important than the second, trust me. Think AOL and ICQ. No brainer "
Hey John, I have been reading Searchblog for about a year now (almost since the beginning). Nice to hear such rave reviews about your book. It's next on my list to read.
Just wanted to extend congratulations on a job well done.
Congrats on the reviews. Looking forward to reading the book. I guess having to pose for those "hug your book" shots comes with the territory, huh?
nice job John... looking forward to getting mine autographed this week :)
Also been reading Searchblog for some time and, by the way, have the first issues of both Wired and Industry Standard as I've tried to be fully connected for years though residing in technology flyover country (Minneapolis).
Picked up "The Search" this weekend while traveling so had some plane time. Am so enamored I did a post this morning: did a post this morning.
Very nicely done.
