If an enterprise ASP sells a $125K/mo, 3-year deal and the lead originates from a PPC ad, then if their CTR is 1% and their conversion rate from clicks is 4%, then each click produces $1800 in revenue...
Ouch - someone say "click fraud" and "clickbot". :(
Don't have my sliderule here but, click fraud aside, it would seem that those types of terms aren't for the faint of heart. These are interesting days in search: competition is high but new avenues are opening.
