This is old news. Joe Beda let it slip in his resignation announcement over a month ago and I speculated on Google "mooning the giant" back on the 15th of September.
Even older is the MSFT Search presence in the valley where publicly announced project's include MSR botand Page Turner and researchers like Mark Najork reside. There is more to say, but all that is already public.
