Hi John,
Sauce Reader (http://www.synop.com/Products/SauceReader/) has had full text search for several months over all feeds (and items you've read and kept).
It also has integrated search that allows you to carry out searches with Google, Yahoo!, Yahoo! Feeds, Technorati and Feedster from within the reading interface.
Sauce Reader is available for Windows platforms.
Thanks for the link to Jäger -- I've been using it for a day and really like it. Definitely worth trying out. (Much better than the blinkx product I gave you a hard time for posting the press release of.)
Speaking of hard disk search, do you know of a good roundup of available products? I've tried Swish-e, disk-Meta, X1, Agent Ransack, blinkx and haven't been totally happy with any of them. Also, do you know anything about the rumors that Google is working on a hard disk search product, code named penguin?
Thanks,
Tim
P.S. I haven't tried SauceReader, but I confess I am suspicious of a product whose website claims that an Outlook 2003 style user interface is intuitive. Ubiquitous yes. Intuitive no.
Bloomba has had full text search forever - check it out. I find it very useful for recalling old information.
