How To Stop Gambling Online? We'll Never Know, Exactly...

gamblingjpgYahoo and Google have agreed to stop take online gambling advertising. Lycos already has.

I'm not sure I like this, for the precedent it sets. I don't like the lack of clarity by the companies about why they made this decision, and I don't like the perception that the threat of government action was behind it all. In essence, it feels this was done behind closed doors, without a clear signal as to why the action was taken. Again, I don't like the precedent. First this, then? Don't Be Evil can cut both ways.

Over the past five years addictions to gambling have grown at an accelerated rate. Not only adults, but teenagers are gambling with out realizing the consequences. Most States including Connecticut have created agreements with Indian reservations for self gain. The states are now realizing the negative impact the Indian casino reservations are having on their taxpayers.

Gambling is a silent addiction. Most people can go years with out anyone ever discovering that they gambled. Besides the local Casino’s people can now even gamble online.

With today’s modern technology, if you want to gamble you can so long as you have the resources. Once your resources are depleted and you’re in debt, you will begin to seek help. This is where many states are taking notice due to people claiming bankruptcy, not paying their state taxes, getting caught committing petty crimes and even suicide.

The I Stopped Gambling So Can You website continues to receive alarming emails from friends family and the compulsive gambler. The site was developed to help people associated with compulsive gambling addiction.

I have almost completed an infomration book on websites and other resources available for individuals who have a gambling addiction.

Any website who would like to be considered to be included needs to email me by December 31m 2006.

I will also be reviewing through online stop gambling sites and plan to dedicate a specific section for them. There is no fee to be included. I believe compulsive gamblers need to make their own choice when it comes to a recovery program.

If you wnat to be included for free please either go to my website http://www.istoppedgambling.com and email me.

Ill be back very soon to see any update!!!

Well, U.S. ban on online gaming which occured recently may be the first step on this, but let us see how the multi-million dollar gaming industry reacts to it, and if any other countries follow footsteps of US government.

We have created a web site that is specifically designed to help individuals and their families recover from gambling derailment.

www.stop-gambling.com

There are healthier choices for entertainment than gambling. People, internet authorities and government bodies will eventually figure that out...when they do gambling (as a form of entertainment) will become a kin to the roller skating parks of the days gone by.
